Yesterday, the mayor's public mailbox revealed that on July 14th, Liangping Middle School Deputy Principal Luo Xianlin was suspended for investigation, and the four male security guards have been dismissed by the school.
The response from the mayor's public mailbox stated that according to the investigation by the Liangping County government, based on the regulations in the "Liangping Middle School Student Handbook" that prohibit the use of mobile phones in dormitories during nap time and after lights out, on the night of July 11th, Luo Xianlin, the deputy principal in charge of the third grade of high school, organized the male security guards on duty that day, Liu Tingyi, Zou Xianghong, Yuan Wanchao, and Gong Shaobin, to inspect the improper use of mobile phones by male students in the male dormitory.
After the inspection that night, when several security guards were talking with Luo Xianlin in the male dormitory supervisor's room, security guard Zou Xianghong asked if they should check the female dormitory since there were reportedly more violations there. Luo Xianlin replied that they would check the next night. Security guard Liu Tingyi said that their security team did not have any female security guards, so how could they check? Luo Xianlin said they would borrow female security guards from other teams to check.
At around 10:30 pm on July 12th, Liangping Middle School female security guard Zeng Heling, male security guards Liu Tingyi, Zou Xianghong, Yuan Wanchao, and Gong Shaobin arrived at the female dormitory building A1 to check for improper use of mobile phones by students after lights out. Led by female dormitory supervisors Tang Shimei and Zhang Huanbi, the five security guards first went to room 213, where the female student Yang was suspected of playing with her phone in violation of the rules. However, Yang, who was wearing pajamas, claimed that she was not using her phone and lifted her blanket to let the inspectors see. At this time, several male security guards also entered the room and stood next to the storage cabinet near the entrance to assist the female dormitory supervisors and security guards in checking whether Yang was using her phone improperly, but nothing was found.
Afterwards, the group went to other dormitories for inspections, and a total of 10 mobile phones and 1 MP3 player were found being used by students after lights out.
On the morning of the 13th, the senior grade group discovered a protest letter written by female students on campus.
